Kieu Hoang Winery has acquired the Guilliams Vineyards in Saint Helena, California, as the company looks to increase Cabernet Sauvingnon offerings.

The vineyard was owned by John and Shawn Guilliams, and includes 10 acres, an on-site resident, tasting room and crushing and bottling facility. The family produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc that is sold for about $300 per bottle. John Guilliams will stay on the property as an in-residence consultant and winemaker.

The buyer, headquartered in Napa, California, is owned by American businessman Kieu Hoang. The company previously purchased the Michael Mondavi family winery, in June. Hoang is CEO of Rare Antibody Antigen Supply Inc., a health care group.

In another recent wine deal, Pernod Ricard bought Sonoma, California-based Kenwood, a winery and Bacchus Capital formed BCM Wineworks to sell and market wines for Sbragia Family Vineyards, Delille Cellars and Madrigal Family Winery.
