Elliott Associates and Westgate International, two holders in John Kluge’s Metromedia International Group Inc. have made new filings betraying further mistrust in, and frustration with, management. For the May 2001 annual meeting, Elliot and Westgate, whose holdings are undisclosed, want an independent board and a right to call special meetings in order to oust “incumbent directors for egregious conduct.”
