HemaSource has acquired Medical Supplies of America’s blood plasma supplies operations for an undisclosed amount.

Knoxville,Tenn.-based Medical Supplies distributes disposable, surgical and pharmaceutical supplies. The company’s operations are divided into blood plasma supplies, which HemaSource is buying, and physician supplies, which will remain under Medical Supplies’ ownership.

HemaSource, headquartered in Salt Lake City, distributes medical supplies to the blood plasma collection market.

FourBridges Capital Advisors ran the sale process for Medical Supplies.

Other recent medical device deals include Vention Medical’s purchase of Fast Forward Medical, and Forsyth Capital Investors LLC’s acquisition of Vante Inc.
