Last Wednesday, Maytag Corp., putting its management machine on spin cycle, moved its VP of corporate development into the senior VP and general counsel slot. Roger Scholten, a 20-year veteran of the $2.7 billion market cap appliance manufacturer, remains in charge of the company’s M&A department. Whether or not Newton, Iowa-based Maytag taps someone to fill his corporate development post remains in the air. “We’re still trying to figure that out,” commented Scholten.
