Marlin Equity Partners, LLC has announced the closing of Marlin Equity II, L.P., a $300 million institutional private equity fund targeting special situations across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on technology, consumer, and healthcare businesses. This is the second private equity fund raised by Marlin since its inception in 2005. Fund II investors include a select group of endowments and foundations, public and private sector pension funds, family offices, financial institutions, and insurance companies. Fund II was three times oversubscribed and closed less than three months after its September 2007 launch.
