Now that Angelo & Maxie’s Inc. (A&M) has pared its board and sold off the bulk of its restaurants, the wee steakhouse restaurant operator views itself as better prepared to sell the leftover restaurants on its plate. On Aug. 14, the same day the it reported second quarter numbers, A&M, formerly known as Chart House Restaurants Inc. announced that its board had been reduced from eight directors to three, that Thomas Walters resigned as chief executive officer and that it had completed the sale of 39 of its 45 restaurants, or 87% of its outlets.
