On the cusp of closing its $165 million stock acquisition of Corsair Communications, Lightbridge Inc. announced it has tapped a new VP and general counsel whose responsibilities include M&A. Lightbridge landed Eugene DiDonato for the newly created position because of his expertise in M&A and “all facets of corporate law and corporate governance,” said Lightbridge Chief Financial Officer Harlan Plumley. DiDonato, who joined the $240 million market cap company this past November, arrived from a three-year stint as VP and general counsel for Peritus Software Services Inc. And prior to that, he held the same positions for four years at Cayenne Software Inc., where, for one year, he also served as interim CFO.
