The chairman and chief executive officer of Albany, N.Y.-based alarm security company Integrated Alarm Services Group Inc. (IAS) is trying to take the company private as he is on his way out the door, sources said. The $85 million market cap company has been seeking strategic alternatives since November, and formally postponed considering an offer from a smaller security company, Alarm Security Group LLC (ASG) on May 19.
