Looking to extend its reach into the security market, Imagis Technologies Inc. has retained Boston-based Pembridge Venture Partners to explore strategic alternatives, which may include a sale. Vancouver, British Columbia-based Imagis makes biometric facial software for use in security equipment and criminal investigations, currently in use at Toronto’s Pearson airport. The $20 million market cap company also uses its technology to identify child victims of crimes and increase security at nuclear power plants.
