Last week, the stock of IKOS Systems Inc., the object of a $100 million spoiler tender offer by Mentor Graphics Corp., got smashed, trading at its lowest since the arrival of Mentor’s $11-per-share bid. Having traded well over the tender, since Mentor began the offer on Dec. 7, IKOS shares sank to $10.60 each last Wednesday. The lowest IKOS stock hit the day before was $11.26 a share. IKOS stock reached as high as $12.02 on Jan. 2. At press time, IKOS closed at $11 per share.
