Last Thursday, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson added a new antitrust partner-one with first-hand Department of Justice experience-to the law firm’s ranks. Deborah Garza, who worked at the DOJ in the 1980s, arrived at Fried Frank’s Washington, D.C., office after 11 years at Covington & Burling. Garza last worked at the DOJ in 1988 and 1989 as chief of staff and counselor. Her position at the agency prior to that, in ’83/’84, was special assistant to the assistant attorney general.
