A former Brazos Private Equity Partners LLC executive has launched a new private equity firm called CenterOak Partners.

The firm was started by Randall Fojtasek, who formerly co-founded and acted as co-CEO of Brazos. Former Brazos executives Michael Salim, Lucas Cutler, Jason Sutherland and William Henry have also joined the firm.

CenterOak, headquartered in Dallas, will focus on investments in the industrial growth, consumer and business services sectors. The firm plans to invested between $20 million to $70 million in equity capital in middle market companies, with a focus on U.S. companies in the south and southwest.  

Dallas-based Brazos manages about $1.4 billion in capital and focuses on investments in middle-market consumer, health care, commercial and business services companies, including insurance claims-management provider Healthcare Solutions Inc.; men’s clothing retailer Southern Tide; and wax treatment services company European Wax Center.
