Evans Inc., a Chicago-based fur retailer, is in the process of selling the six fur and apparel stores it still operates in that city. The company, whose market cap is under $2 million, has received offers for the stores, said Evans VP Sam Garber, who is spearheading the sale process. Both strategic and financial buyers have made offers or expressed interest, he said, declining to provide names.
