Emis Group (AIM: EMIS) is buying Ascribe Group for £57.5 million (U.S. $90.9 million).

Bolton, England-based Ascribe provides software and information technology services to the health care market in the U.K.

Emis, headquartered in Leeds, England, supplies clinical software and services to health care practices.

Health care services businesses have been experiencing a period of M&A alongside the rest of the health care industry. Recent deals include Zotec Partners LLC’s acquisition of Medical Management Professionals Inc. for $200 million, and TPG Capital’s purchase of Envision Pharmaceutical Holdings Inc.
