DSI has acquired RareWire, a mobile-application development services business.

RareWire, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, develops software the helps companies produce mobile applications. The business has developed apps for Black & Veatch, Boulevard Brewery, Forever 21, West Point and other organizations. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kansas City-based DSI aims to help companies optimize mobile offerings. The company will offer RareWire's services as an extension of its Mobile Enterprise software. DSI made another acquisition in 2009, buying Unibar, a provider of Linux-related services.

Other mobile-related deals have come from PayPal, which agreed to buy mobile payment provider Paydiant in March, and Sharecare's deal for Feingold Technologies
