In an effort to sidestep bankruptcy, privately held Doskocil Manufacturing Co. has secured preliminary approval from its bondholders and other lenders to restructure its $85 million tranche of 10.125% senior subs. Arlington, Texas-based Doskocil manufactures various pet products, including dogshouses and cat and dog carriers, such as its Pet Taxi and Kennel Cab brands. Its Dogloo line produces igloo-shaped pet shelters, which were, when created in 1987, the first such product, according to Doskocil’s Sept. 28, 2000 10K.
