Dometic Group is buying Atwood Mobile Products LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Atwood, headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, makes devices for the recreational vehicle, on/off-highway and marine industries. The company sells products mainly in North America and Australia.

Stockholm-based Dometic, which makes leisure products for the RV, marine, truck and automotive industries, expects the deal to expand its offerings to include water heaters, ventilation technology, windows and doors and furnaces.

Robert W. Baird & Co. acted as Atwood’s financial adviser on the deal.

Recent transactions driven by the worldwide boost in new and used autos include Audax Private Equity’s purchase of Wheel Pros and Trim Parts’ acquisition of parts distributor Mr. Mustang.
