CTG Resources, Inc. has engaged PaineWebber to advise it on alternatives, including a possible sale of the company. Thus far, PaineWebber has not put a book together on CTG, a Hartford, Conn.-based gas company, said a CTG spokeswoman. The process is at an early stage and a decision to sell the company outright has not been reached, she said. CTG is looking for a strategic partnership that will help it navigate the changing landscape of New England energy industries, she said.
