Creganna-Tactx Medical has purchased Precision Wire Components from the Riverside Co.

Tualatin, Oregon-based Precision Wire manufactures medical wire and coiled components for medical devices. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Creganna, headquartered in Galway, Ireland, makes minimally-invasive medical devices.

Private equity firm Riverside, headquartered in Cleveland and New York, invests in businesses that are valued at up to $250 million. In another Dec. 2 deal from the firm, Riverside added the Training Factor to education platform company Grace Hill. The deals come one day after Riverside announced it was selling Baby Jogger to Newell Rubbermaid for $210 million. 

Jones Day and Piper Jaffray advised Riverside on the deal.

Other recent medical device deals have come from Leica Biosystems, which bought Devicor Medical Products from Chicago private equity firm GTCR in October, and Carlisle Cos., which picked up LHI Technology, also in October. For more on medical device M&A, see Medical Devices Drive Health Care M&A
