Though a large Cone Mills Corp. shareholder has expressed interest in acquiring the denim and fabric maker, Cone’s chief financial officer said he is not holding his breath on a sale happening. According to a Feb. 7 13D, 7.44% shareholder Mark Kozberg met with $50 million market cap Cone’s management last month to discuss a buyout of the company. However, Chief Financial Officer Gary Smith said there have been no discussions regarding how Kozberg would finance a deal, meaning that “he has yet to present a viable plan” of action to the company.
