Look for activist shareholder David Batchelder to light a fire under ConAgra Foods Inc.’s buns, including demands for some sort of M&A, if the food conglomerate does not turn itself around, said analysts. On Aug. 2, ConAgra announced that Batchelder would join the company’s board. Batchelder reportedly requested the seat and ConAgra agreed.
