Advisory firms CohnReznick LLP and Watkins Meegan LLC are combining.
New York-based CohnReznick provides accounting, tax and other advisory services. The firm has 26 offices. The merger will be effective on Nov. 1. Terms were not disclosed. The firm previously acquired Ercolini & Co, a Boston firm, in June.
Watkins Meegan, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, has 13 partners and 200 employees. The firm provides accounting, tax and other consulting services.
The combined firm will have about $600 million in revenues, about 300 partners and about 2750 employees. The deal allows CohnReznick to expand in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Other recent advisory mergers have come from KPMG LLP, which bought Axia Consulting's workday consulting practice in August, and Ernst & Young LLP, which agreed to buy consulting firm Parthenon Group in July.
