Baring Asset Management recently announced that Chief Investment Officer Michael Hughes will be retiring at the end of 2007. His responsibilities and role will be assumed by Marino Valensise, who joined the firm in 1999 and is currently the Head of Barings’ Fixed Income and Currency team.
