Capital A Partners is investing in software startup PerformYard.

PerformYard, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia,  develops business software used for strategy execution, employee performance tracking and human resources information. The Center for Innovative Technology is also invested in the company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is Capital A's second software investment, following the firm's investment in Swedish mobile software company OpenRatio in April. 

The Charleston, South Carolina-based private equity firm focuses on investing in early-stage ventures and small operating companies. Tanya Marvin-Horowitz (pictured), Capital A's general partner, is vice president of international relations for ACG New York.
