Canadian National Railway’s (CNR) proposed $1.2 billion takeout of Wis-consin Central Transportation Corp. has yet to be reviewed by the U.S. Surface Transportation Board (STB). But one source at the STB said, for now, he has not seen any potential snags to a deal. While the companies have yet to file a merger application with the STB, “I haven’t seen any anticompetitive parts to the deal” at this point, said the Board official, who declined to be identified.
