Barclays Capital, the investment banking subsidiary of Barclays Bank PLC, has tapped Richard Simonson as a managing director in its San Francisco office. Simonson oversees Barclays’s telecommunications/media segment. Prior to joining Barclays, Simonson was an MD at Banc of America Securities, where he was responsible for BoA’s global advisory and debt capital raising capabilities for the telecom, power, infrastructure and energy/process sectors.
