The privately held Lift Group is delay ing its planned $320 million acquisition of Cascade Corp., and said it may revise the terms of the deal. And the Street has made its opinion clear: This merger’s value is going to drop severely or its not going to happen at all. On March 2, Cascade and Lift said the merger would be delayed past the intended closing date of March 31 for the second time. The merger had already been delayed once in mid-January. At that time, Cascade said the delay was a result of pending environmental litigation involving a $19 million damage claim by the city of Portland, Ore.
