William Blair has agreed to acquire Inner Circle Sports, a boutique investment bank focused on the global sports, media and entertainment ecosystem.
The transaction is aimed at strengthening William Blair’s advisory and capital markets capabilities in sectors experiencing sustained growth. Inner Circle Sports will continue operating under its existing name for a transitional period following the close. Founded in 2002, Inner Circle Sports advises clients across the sports, media and entertainment landscape, including professional sports teams, leagues, investors, municipalities, universities and media companies. The firm provides services spanning buy- and sell-side M&A, capital raising, valuations and debt financing.
Winston & Strawn LLP acted as legal advisor to William Blair, while Solomon Partners served as financial advisor and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP provided legal counsel to Inner Circle Sports.
