Utz Brands, Inc. (NYSE: UTZ), a US manufacturer of branded salty snacks, and its subsidiaries have acquired RW Garcia and Holdings, LLC and related entities. The purchase exists in order for Utz to acquire the equity and real estates related to RW Garcia operations.

RW Garcia is a family-owned and operated artisan maker of organic tortilla chips, crackers and corn chips. The entire RW Garcia product line is GMO verified, gluten-free, low sodium, kosher and free of additives or preservatives.

RW Garcia has the production capacity to support the continued growth of the Utz brands as well as being complementary to Utz’ previous acquisition of Festida Foods, thanks to its strategically placed production capabilities.

“We expect this strategic acquisition will enable strong supply chain synergies, enhance our ability to expand distribution of our existing brands, and supplement our better-for-you product portfolio,” said Dylan Lissette, CEO of Utz. “We believe this strategic combination will help accelerate the growth of Utz’s brands and expand margins over the long-term, and we look forward to continuing to serve RW Garcia’s existing customers.”
