True Wind Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on investing in technology companies has made four new additions to its executive team. The new additions are representative of the firm’s growth and closing of its second fund with $817 million in capital commitments.

Nima Kelly joins True Wind as chief operating officer and chief compliance officer. Kelly most recently served as chief legal officer at GoDaddy in a range of legal and operational roles. Kelly played a role in the evolution of the firm into a publicly traded enterprise. Michael Crest joins the firm as operating executive and most recently served as CEO of Optanix. Prior to that, Crest served as CEO of Arcserve and senior roles with CA Technology.

Tom Hegge joins the company as the director of strategic capital. Previously Hegge served as managing member at Great Plains Partners. Additionally as previously announced, Scott Wagner joins the firm as head of strategic capital. Wagner has been an advisor of True Wind for over five years with 30 years of operating experience in software.

“We are proud of our ability to attract top talent to our firm, reflecting our growth and success over the past year,” added Adam Clammer and James Green, Jr., founding partners of True Wind. “Welcoming Nima, Mike, Tom and Scott to our team following the strong support we received from investors in our latest fundraise is indicative of True Wind’s considerable potential in the coming years.”
