Virtual events company Thuzio has acquired Robin, as the buyer looks to capitalize on the growth it is seeing during the pandemic. The target offers premium tickets and large group bookings to events, including those being held remotely. Thuzio is led by former New York Giants Tiki Barber and former Grubhub executive Jared Augustine.

“Due to the explosive demand of the virtual event business we launched in the wake of the pandemic, Thuzio’s has doubled in size in 2020,” says Augustine. “To accelerate this growth, we’re excited to invest in our tech capabilities through this strategic acquisition of Robin. “

The virtual events industry is expected to be worth more than $750 billion by 2030, according to Trends Exchange. “With a ‘new normal,’ businesses must think differently about how to win client attention and secure new business,” adds Barber. The Giants are playing the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon.
