Terminus Capital Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm focused on majority investments in B2B software companies, announced it has acquired a majority stake in Eventus.

The investment is intended to accelerate Eventus’ global expansion, enhance its product innovation and platform capabilities and support strategic initiatives, including selective acquisitions. Under TCP’s ownership, Eventus will continue operating under its existing brand and leadership while expanding its commercial and support footprint to address evolving regulatory and data requirements. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Texas, Eventus provides trade surveillance and market risk services to exchanges, broker-dealers, trading firms and other market participants globally. Its flagship Validus platform supports multi-asset class surveillance across equities, options, futures, FX, fixed income and digital assets within a unified ecosystem. The company serves clients across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

The transaction was advised by DA Davidson as financial advisor and Jones & Spross as legal counsel to TCP, while Broadhaven served as investment banker to Eventus and Wilson Sonsini acted as its legal advisor.
