Sverica Capital Management LP, a private equity investment firm, has made a strategic investment in Hirebotics, an automation company focused on collaborative robot services designed specifically for welding applications.

Based in Nashville, Tenn., Hirebotics’ Cobot Welder is a product that combines welding equipment and a robotic arm with software to help address a shortage of welding technicians, according to Sverica. Founded in 2015 by Rob Goldiez and Matt Bush, and later joined by Zach Boyd, Hirebotics offers a “cobot” service controlled using a software application, Beacon, that was internally developed and is cloud-based. Hirebotics works to maintain partnerships with manufacturers and distributors of welding equipment.
