Greenwich, Conn.-based Stone Point Capital has closed its 10th flagship private equity fund, Trident X, with $11.5 billion in commitments—surpassing its $9 billion target and hard cap.
The fund is about $2.5 billion larger than its predecessor, Trident IX, which closed in 2022. Stone Point’s general partner and affiliated entities contributed $750 million. Focused on financial services and related sectors, Stone Point has over 30 years of experience and has invested in more than 160 companies across 70 sub-sectors. Trident X began deploying capital in May 2025 and has completed one investment to date: Ultimus Fund Solutions, a provider of fund administration services.
Debevoise & Plimpton served as legal counsel on the fund formation.
