Sound Partners LLC, a lower-middle market private equity fund, has acquired Marathon HVAC Service, a residential HVAC company based in Los Angeles, Calif.
Founded in 1990 by Ray Martinez and Tatiana Martinez, the company offers HVAC services in southern California. The deal marks Sound Partners’ second platform in the HVAC space, following the acquisition of Tradewinds Mechanical LLC, a commercial HVAC/R company in Las Vegas, Nev.
“We look forward to building on this foundation and scale the company through organic growth and additional acquisitions to become a leader in residential HVAC in Southern California,” states Zepher Loesch, founder and managing partner of Sound Partners.
