A group led by Egon Durban, co-CEO of Silver Lake, has agreed to acquire a 25 percent stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Bloomberg.
The equity being sold comes from existing minority investors rather than controlling owner Mark Davis. Following the transaction’s close, the investor consortium is expected to collectively own nearly 40 percent of the NFL franchise. Minority stake sales in NFL teams have accelerated in recent years as leagues open ownership structures to private capital and alternative investors.
The Las Vegas Raiders, one of the NFL’s most valuable franchises, relocated from Oakland to Las Vegas in 2020 and now play at Allegiant Stadium.
