Sciens Building Solutions, a holding company concentrated on fire detection and security services, has acquired West Fire Systems Inc., a Rochester-based fire and security firm.
WFS was founded in 1987 by Michael West and designs, installs, services and monitors enterprise access control services, video surveillance services, fire alarms, emergency responder radio and a comprehensive offering of nurse call services products. The firm focuses on serving the upstate New York Markets.
The deal is the most recent acquisition of SBS’s buy and build investment strategy across fire detection and integrated services segments. The deal will advance the firm’s presence across upstate New York and will provide SBS with additional expertise.
