Quorum, a public affairs software provider, has bought Capitol Canary, a mobilization and digital advocacy service.

Capitol Canary provides tools used to engage and mobilize supporters, as well as contact information for officials and staffers. With the acquisition, Quorum aims to solidify its place in the government and public affairs industry. With Capitol Canary, Quorum will expand to over 2,000 clients and 336 team members. Capitol Canary co-founder and president, Jeb Ory, will join Quorum’s board of directors.

“Consumers and employees are pushing organizations they work with to take a stand on key issues — it’s no longer ok to sit on the sidelines of policy,” says Alex Wirth, co-founder and CEO of Quorum. “With the addition of Capitol Canary, Quorum is better positioned to solve your needs — whether you’re trying to track legislation, mobilize your supporters, manage your PAC, or connect with reporters.”

Ikona Partners acted as financial advisor to Capitol Canary. Holland & Knight served as Quorum’s legal advisor and Moore & Van Allen advised Capitol Canary.
