Prime Global Medical Communications Ltd., a medical communications and market access group and portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, has acquired HCD Economics, an academically backed organization operating in health economics and outcomes research and real-world evidence space.

HCD focuses on conducting burden of disease research and gathering proprietary health economic evidence used for market access, pricing and reimbursement to support pharmaceutical clients across the U.S. and Europe.

“Prime Global and HCD Economics are both steadfastly focused on improving patients’ lives, and an excellent strategic fit with one another,” stated Graeme Peterson, founder and CEO of Prime Global. “Combining HCD’s evidence generation and analytic expertise with our specialist medical, patient, and payer communications skills will strengthen our support to clients, helping ensure patients have timely access to innovative treatments. I am excited for our teams to collaborate and pursue many attractive opportunities as our new partnership unfolds.”

“We are delighted to support Prime Global in its first acquisition since LLCP’s partnership with Graeme and the management team,” commented Josh Kuffman, senior managing director at LLCP. “HCD Economics is highly complementary to Prime Global’s market access and health economics segment. We look forward to the benefits of this combination and to the continued execution of Prime Global’s ambitious growth plans through further strategic M&A, both in Europe and the U.S.”
