NEC, a provider of electrical services serving the telecommunications, cellular and utility markets and a portfolio company of Pfingsten, has acquired Eastern Communications, a Bloomfield, Conn.-based provider of maintenance, repair and upgrade services to telecommunications infrastructure across the New England region.
This acquisition represents NEC’s third add-on acquisition this year, and is part of the company’s strategy to build a national provider of services to the telecommunications industry. Steve Slade, president and CEO of Eastern, will retain ownership in the company and become part of the NEC executive team.
“We are thrilled to join forces with NEC,” says Slade. “Together, we are well positioned to rapidly scale alongside our customers with additional resources, broader service capabilities and enhanced geographic coverage.”
