Perforce Software, a firm that provides services to enterprise teams, has agreed to acquire Puppet, an infrastructure automation software platform. Perforce is backed by Francisco Partners and Clearlake Capital. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

This acquisition will upscale Perforce’s ability to automate and integrate security into its infrastructure. The deal will also allow Perforce to continue to pursue DevOps at scale. The combined company will have a client base that includes 40 companies in the Fortune 50.

We look forward to welcoming the Puppet team and continuing to offer the level of customer support, services, and community Puppet has established in the market.”

The deal is projected to close in the second quarter of 2022.
