ML Utilities, a utility maintenance provider, has acquired Tennessee-based Cherokee Truck Equipment, a truck equipment seller. The purchase will allow ML Utilities to expand its geographic footprint and expand its team.

Cherokee offers truck services including testing, inspections, and a full-service parts and equipment division based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The transaction also includes Cherokee’s 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Chattanooga and its 15,000 sq. ft. facility in Mableton, Georgia.

ML Utilities co-presidents Mickey Hodges and Kent Upton said, “Similar to our purchase of Utility Equipment Service (UES) last year, this is an ideal fit, as Cherokee’s culture aligns closely with ours. Their values of service and safety are deeply rooted, and we’ll continue to honor their legacy every day.”
