Japanese multinational conglomerate Hitachi is acquiring Synvert, a Germany-based data and AI consulting firm, through its U.S. subsidiary GlobalLogic Inc., from Maxburg, a private equity firm focused on founder-led tech companies in the DACH region.

The transaction will make Synvert a wholly owned GlobalLogic subsidiary, furthering Hitachi’s ambitions to scale its HMAX platform, a suite of agentic and physical AI tools aimed at driving operational autonomy and business model innovation. The acquisition is expected to close in the fiscal year ending March 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

Synvert specializes in AI-driven business design, data access and governance, and integration services. The company serves more than 200 enterprise clients and maintains advanced partnerships with cloud and data platforms. Headquartered in Münster, Germany, synvert also has operations in Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and the Middle East. Under Maxburg’s ownership, the company significantly expanded its footprint and achieved an eightfold increase in revenue and profitability over five years.
