Littlejohn & Co., a private equity firm based in Greenwich, Conn., has purchased United Air Temp, Air Conditioning and Heating, a provider of HVAC and plumbing services to residential homeowners in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern U.S.

Founded in 1931 and headquartered in Lorton, Va., UAT provides heating and cooling system installation, repair and maintenance services, indoor air quality and plumbing services to homeowners across Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. UAT is supported by a base of over 850 employees.
