The private equity firm, KKR (NYSE: KKR) has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Refresco, a global beverage solutions company. Current investors, PAI Partners and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), will maintain a minority stake. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. PAI and BCI have owned the company since 2018.
Refresco, based in the Netherlands, is one of the world’s largest independent beverage contract companies. Founded in 1999 Refresco, offers retailers support with bottling, warehousing, logistics and other operational assets throughout Europe and North America.
Based in Paris, PAI Partners is private equity firm with over €17 billion of dedicated buyout funds.
BCI based in Victoria is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors, with C$199.6B in assets.
