Midtown Health manages 25 onsite fitness centers nationwide; its client list includes hospital wellness centers, community fitness centers and corporate fitness clubs.

“This acquisition is highly complementary and part of our strategy to help clients create healthy communities in a post-pandemic environment,” said Kevin Slawin, Trustmark’s President and CEO. “This brings together great capabilities and additional scale at a time when personalized connections through a blend of virtual and onsite programming has never been more important.”

Sean McManamy, president of HealthFitness and a member of Trustmark’s executive leadership team, added, “This is an excellent cultural fit. Like HealthFitness, Midtown Health has a proven ability to manage fitness centers profitably, while putting people first and increasing engagement by integrating wellness into each client’s DNA. This is a transformative time for HealthFitness and we are excited to welcome our newest associates from Midtown Health.”

“We share HealthFitness’ commitment to our people and helping the clients we serve increase participation in their wellness programs and optimize their health,” Debra Siena, Midtown Health president, said. “We are excited to join a likeminded and industry-leading company.”

Tennis Corporation of America CEO Steven Schwartz commented, “This sale allows us to focus exclusively on growing our chain of Midtown Athletic Club branded luxury sports resorts. HealthFitness is committed to excellence and is a great home for Midtown Health’s clients and associates.”
