Gryphon Investors, a middle-market private equity firm, has acquired Rootstock Software, a provider of cloud-based ERP software for manufacturing, distribution and supply chain firms. As part of the deal, Rootstock’s management team and Salesforce Ventures both re-invested in the deal.

Rootstock delivers composable cloud ERP services built across the Salesforce platform for firms looking for cloud-native, purpose-built services to streamline operations.

“We are excited by the relationship that Rootstock has built with Salesforce to enable a modern, flexible product that drives efficiency for all organizations but that is uniquely differentiated by the symbiotic value it provides to users of the Salesforce ecosystem,” said Sandy McKinnon, principal of Gryphon’s Software Group.
