GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY) has purchased Pagely, the firm that brought Managed WordPress to market in 2009.

GoDaddy plans to leverage Pagely’s platform and cloud expertise to build a WooCommerce SaaS platform that will provide reliability, scalability, flexibility, security and performance. WooCommerce is a top open-source eCommerce software.

Pagely will continue to provide WordPress services its customers rely on. GoDaddy will continue to invest and advance the platforms of its current GoDaddy, WordPress and WooCommerce offerings.
