Digestive Health Specialists (DHS), a gastroenterology medical care provider, is partnering with GI Alliance (GIA), a gastroenterology services organization.

GI Partners is a physician-led majority and physician-owned GI practice. The firm has over 670 independent gastroenterologists across the southern United States. DHS is based in Kansas City and has 28 providers. GIA is a portfolio company of Waud Capital Partners. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Provident Healthcare Partners, a healthcare-focused investment banking firm, advised Digestive Health on the transaction. Provident’s advisor team was led by managing director Eric Major and vice president Conor Duffey. Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP acted as legal counsel to Digestive Health Specialists.
