Crestview Partners, a private equity firm, through its newly founded automation services portfolio company, has acquired Classic Design, a design and services integration provider. The acquisition acts as part of Crestview’s strategy to build a global automation services provider, following their previous acquisition of JMP Solutions, an automation systems integrator.

Classic is an end-to-end designer, developer, and integrator of custom automation services to customers in the automotive and defense sectors. Crestview is a value-oriented private equity firm focused on the middle market and manages funds with approximately $10 billion of aggregate capital commitments.

“The acquisition of Classic is a natural next step in the creation of this platform,” said John Bubnikovich, CEO of Crestview’s automation services company. “The transaction more than doubles the platform’s scale and substantially expands our capacity for growth.”

Kroll Corporate Finance served as a financial advisor to Classic, with additional support from Doescher Group. Hall Render LP served as legal advisor to Classic, and Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher LLP served as legal advisor to Crestview.
